Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC), the regulator for the province’s open igaming market, set to go live July 13, has released a summary showing 28 sportsbook and icasino operators that have registered or have commenced registration as of May 1.
Lynden McBeth, an AGLC spokesperson, said they anticipate updating this list weekly and that people should check back again after the weekend.
And on the AGLC’s gaming website this morning, there is this note: "We are currently experiencing a high volume of inquiries related to Alberta’s iGaming market. To ensure efficient processing, priority will be given to organizations that have initiated the registration process and paid the required fees.”
Some of the operator names released by AGLC include the biggest brand names in the industry – FanDuel, PointsBet Canada, BetRivers, theScore Bet, Jackpot City, Spin Casino, Ruby Fortune, Bet99, Betway, Betty, BetMGM, Bally’s, DraftKings, Golden Nugget, and Caesars (Caesars Sportsbook, Horseshoe Online Casino, Caesars Palace Online).

The AGLC also released an updated list of igaming systems providers that have registered (22) as well as igaming platform providers (8) and igaming goods and services suppliers (11) that are on board.
