The Danish Gambling Authority’s Report on Illegal Gambling 2025 showed it blocked 334 websites offering illegal gambling in 2025, up from 162 in 2024.
In June alone, 178 illegal websites were blocked, the regulator said, with the blockings showing a decline in visits of 34 per cent in the six months following the enforcement action compared with before.

“The figures indicate that, even in 2025, DNS blocking measures have helped reduce Danes' traffic to illegal gambling sites,” the Danish Gambling Authority said.
“This underscores that DNS blocking remains an effective tool in the fight against illegal gambling operators.”
The repot also shows that there were 197 requests for blockings in 2025, dropping from 214 in 2024.
In the land-based sector, the Danish Gambling Authority was involved in cases concerning 25 gambling premises where slot machines had been installed without a licence.
The latest figures from Denmark come after the Malta Gaming Authority released its annual report for 2025, revealing statistics on enforcement action and sports betting integrity monitoring.
