MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Lottery on Friday announced the launch of a new national Draw Game: Millionaire for Life – "a life-changing opportunity where players can win $1 million a year for life."
The first daily drawing is this Sunday, Feb. 22.
“Available at nearly 10,000 Lottery retailers across the Commonwealth beginning Sunday, Millionaire for Life offers Pennsylvania players 18 and older not only a chance to win a Grand Prize of $1 million a year for life, but there are also eight other ways to win, including a Second Prize of $100,000 a year for life,” said Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “This game marks a new era of winner excitement, and when you play, Pennsylvania seniors win too!”
Millionaire for Life features include:
- Cost: $5.
- Grand Prize: $1 million a year for life annuity or one-time cash option of $18 million.
- Second Prize: $100,000 a year for life annuity or one-time cash option of $2.2 million.
- Drawings: Held every day after 11:15 p.m.
- Tickets Sales: Close at 10:15 p.m.
- Players select five numbers from 1 to 58 and one Millionaire Ball number from 1 to 5.

The chances of winning the Grand Prize are 1 in 22.9 million and the chances of winning the Second Prize, or $100,000 a year for life, are 1 in 5.7 million, the Lottery said.
The overall chances of winning any prize are 1 in 8.47.
“All proceeds from Millionaire for Life, like all Pennsylvania Lottery games, benefit programs for older Pennsylvanians," said Svitko. "Those include prescription assistance, transportation services, senior centers and many others that make an impact for older Pennsylvanians every day.
“It’s important to remember that the Pennsylvania Lottery is the only state lottery that generates proceeds solely for seniors. We’re proud that our Lottery has generated more than $37.2 billion to benefit older Pennsylvanians since our very first ticket was sold more than 50 years ago.”
Millionaire for Life can be played in 31 lottery jurisdictions. In Pennsylvania, players can purchase tickets at any licensed Lottery retailer.
To find out where to play Millionaire for Life, players can visit the Lottery website, select the "Where to Buy" option, and use the retailer finder.
