DC Lottery Launches Millionaire for Life™ with Daily Chances to Become a Millionaire

WASHINGTON, DC – DC Lottery launched a new jackpot game, Millionaire for Life™, on February 22, 2026. This national draw game features a grand prize of $1 million a year for life and a second-tier prize of $100,000 a year for life. Drawings are conducted daily at 11:15 PM Eastern Time by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), with 31 jurisdictions participating, including the District of Columbia. Tickets are $5 per play.

Millionaire for Life was designed to produce daily winners, with overall prize odds of 1 in 8.46 and grand prize odds of 1 in 22.9 million. As with all DC Lottery games, a portion of every ticket purchased helps support District programs and services funded by the DC General Fund, including education and public safety.

“With daily chances to become an instant millionaire, significantly better odds at the top prize than other national draw games, and knowledge that their ticket is also giving back to the District, Millionaire for Life gives our players a million reasons to play,” said DC Lottery Executive Director Randy Burnside.

The grand prize and second-tier prize will be awarded as annuities with 20 guaranteed payments. Players will also have the option to choose a one-time cash payment for the top two prize levels.

Millionaire for Life tickets can be purchased at any DC Lottery retailer, online, and on the DC Lottery app. More information about Millionaire for Life, including how to play, odds, and additional prize details, is available at dclottery.com/games/millionaire-life.
