National lottery of Luxembourg joins global sports monitoring
The key role that lotteries have in safeguarding sports integrity, monitoring betting activity, educating stakeholders, and promoting sustainable gaming was highlighted by Jean-Luc Moner-Banet, President of ULIS, who welcomed the coalition’s latest member.
Luxembourg’s national lottery has joined the United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS) coalition.
Dating back to 1945, the Loterie Nationale de Luxembourg will strengthen its commitment to and vision for a safer, more responsible sports landscape by leveraging all ULIS integrity tools made available to it through its membership, safeguarding the lottery’s newly-launched loteriesport sportsbetting platform.
For one, the lottery will be able to participate in early sports manipulation detection thanks to the ULIS proprietary monitoring technology, member-wide knowledge database and alert system.
The coalition’s member network consists of key national and international lottery players, which work closely together to share best practices and strengthen the global standards of sports betting. In addition, Loterie Nationale de Luxembourg will also get access to responsible gaming training programmes and seminars.
Léon Losch, CEO of Loterie Nationale de Luxembourg, commented: “Ever since the launch of our dedicated sports betting platform loteriesport.lu in 2024, we have been working hard to offer players a safe and ethical gaming environment.
“Joining ULIS was a natural decision given our commitment to responsible gaming. Together, we will safeguard fair play and reinforce the social value of gaming in Luxembourg and beyond.”
